Test B: Abs/TC Module Not Responding To Scan Tool

  1. Check For Open In Circuit No. 914

Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness connector C101. See Figure and Figure. Inspect connector for damage or corrosion and repair if necessary. Measure resistance of circuit No. 914 (Tan/Orange wire) between harness connector C101 and DLC pin No. 2. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Tan/Orange wire.
  2. Check For Open In Circuit No. 915

Leave ignition off. Measure resistance of circuit No. 915 (Pink/Light Blue wire) between DLC pin No. 10 and harness connector C101 terminal No. 55. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Pink/Light Blue wire.
  3. Check For Open In Circuit No. 914 Between C101 & ABS/TC Module

Turn ignition off. Disconnect Anti-Lock Brake System/Traction Control (ABS/TC) module harness connector. Inspect connector for damage or corrosion and repair if necessary. Measure resistance of circuit No. 914 (Tan/Orange wire) between harness connector C101 terminal No. 56 and ABS/TC module connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Tan/Orange wire.
  4. Check For Open In Circuit No. 915 Between C101 & ABS/TC Module

Turn ignition off. Measure resistance of circuit No. 915 (Pink/Light Blue wire) between harness connector C101 terminal No. 55 and ABS/TC module connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Pink/Light Blue wire.
  5. Check Connector

Inspect ABS/TC module harness connector for damage or corrosion. Repair if necessary. If connector is okay, replace ABS/TC module. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  under COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS to confirm repair.
