Power Seat Inoperative

  1. Check Fuse No. 28 (30-Amp)

    Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove fuse No. 28 from instrument panel fuse box. If fuse is not blown, go to next step. If fuse is blown, repair short to ground in Orange/Yellow wire.
  2. Check Voltage Supply To Seat Control Seat

    Install fuse No. 28. Disconnect power seat control switch harness connector. Measure voltage at Orange/Yellow wire at power seat control switch harness connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Orange/Yellow wire.
  3. Check Black Wire For Open

    Measure resistance between ground and Black wire at power seat control switch harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace power seat control switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
