Visual Inspection

  1. Ensure master cylinder reservoir is full and parking brake is fully released. Inspect wheel sensors and brakelines for damage. Inspect wheel bearings for looseness or damage. Repair as necessary.
  2. Ensure 60-amp fuse No. 3, 20-amp fuse No. 7 (1998) or 10-amp fuse No. 7 (1999) located in battery junction box are okay. Ensure 7.5-amp fuse No. 30, 7.5-amp fuse No. 22 and 15-amp fuse No 24 (1999) located in central junction box are okay. Check ABS warning light bulb.
  3. Check for damage to wiring harnesses. Check for loose or corroded connectors. Repair as necessary. If problem persists after visual inspection, proceed with self-diagnostics.
