No Communication With Module

  1. Check Fuses No. 30 & 12

Turn ignition off. Check battery junction box fuse No. 12 (15-amp) and central junction box fuse No. 30 (7.5-amp). If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuses are not okay, replace fuses. Test system for normal operation. If fuse(s) blow again, check for short to ground. Repair wiring as necessary.
  2. Check For Voltage To PATS Module

Disconnect PATS module connector C1968. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between PATS module connector terminal No. 8 (Orange/Blue wire) and ground and between terminal No. 15 (Violet/Blue wire) and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair Orange/Blue and Violet/Blue wire circuits.
  3. Check PATS System Ground Circuit For Open

Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between PATS module connector terminal No. 14 (Black/Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PATS module. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Black/Blue wire circuit.
