Seat Does Not Move Horizontally/Vertically
- Check Forward & Rearward Movement
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Operate seat forward and
rearward, using seat control switch. If seat moves forward and
rearward smoothly and completely, go to next step. If seat does not
move forward and rearward smoothly and completely, go to step
5).
- Check Tilting Movement
Operate seat tilting movement at seat control switch. If front
motor does not operate, go to step 4). If rear motor does not operate,
go to next step. If recline motor does not operate (if equipped), go
to step 6). If all motors are inoperative, go to
POWER SEAT
INOPERATIVE
.
- Check Voltage At Rear Height Motor
Disconnect front seat track assembly harness connector. Measure
voltage between Yellow/Violet and White/Violet wires at front seat
track assembly harness connector. Operate rear height motor at seat
control switch. If battery voltage exists when switch is operated,
replace seat track assembly. If battery voltage does not exist, check
wiring between seat control switch and front seat track assembly
harness connectors. If wiring is damaged, repair as necessary. If
wiring is okay, replace seat control switch.
- Check Voltage At Front Height Motor
Disconnect front seat track assembly harness connector. Measure
voltage between Yellow/Black and White/Black wires at front seat track
assembly harness connector. Operate front height motor at seat control
switch. If battery voltage exists when switch is operated, replace
seat track assembly. If battery voltage does not exist, check wiring
between seat control switch and front seat track assembly harness
connectors. If wiring is damaged, repair as necessary. If wiring is
okay, replace seat control switch.
- Check Voltage At Horizontal Motor
Disconnect front seat track assembly harness connector. Measure
voltage between Yellow/Green and White/Green wires at front seat track
assembly harness connector. Operate horizontal motor at seat control
switch. If battery voltage exists when switch is operated, replace
seat track assembly. If battery voltage does not exist, check wiring
between seat control switch and front seat track assembly harness
connectors. If wiring is damaged, repair as necessary. If wiring is
okay, replace seat control switch.
- Check Voltage At Recline Motor
Disconnect recline motor harness connector. Measure voltage
between Yellow/Red and White/Red wires at recline motor harness
connector. Operate recline motor at seat control switch. If battery
voltage exists when switch is operated, replace recline motor. If
battery voltage does not exist, check wiring between seat control
switch and recline motor harness connectors. If wiring is damaged,
repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace seat control
switch.
