Traction Control Inoperative

  1. Perform ABS self-test. If no DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If any DTCs are retrieved, seeDIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  table.
  2. Test drive vehicle and test ABS operation. If system operates normally, go to next step. If system does not operate normally, go to SYMPTOM TESTS .
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module connector. Measure resistance of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and ground, while pressing and releasing traction control switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms with switch depressed, and more than 10 k/ohms with switch released, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). If resistance is not as specified, go to TRACTION CONTROL CANNOT BE DISABLED.
