Test C: Power Windows Completely Inoperative
- Check Window Operation From Driver Door Master Switch - Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Attempt to operate all windows from driver door master switch. If all power windows operate, go to TEST D: SINGLE WINDOW IS INOPERATIVE . If all windows do not operate, go to next step.
- Check Yellow/Light Green Wire - Remove and disconnect driver door master window switch connector C503. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and driver door master switch connector C503 terminal No. 19 (Yellow/Light Green wire). See Figure . If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, go to step 4).
- Check Yellow/Light Green Wire For Short To Ground - Remove instrument panel fuse box circuit breaker No. 14 (20-amp). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and output cavity of circuit breaker No. 14 (20-amp). If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, repair open in Yellow/Light Green wire and retest system operation. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Yellow/Light Green wire and retest system operation.
- Check Black Wire - Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and driver door master window switch connector C503 terminal No. 13 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace driver door master window switch and retest system operation. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire and retest system operation.
