Test E: One-Touch Down Feature Inoperative
NOTE:
Vehicles with keyless entry system incorporate one-touch down feature in Driver Door Module (DDM) located in left front door. Vehicles without keyless entry system have a separate one-touch down module located in left front door. Test procedures for one-touch down feature in vehicles without keyless entry are not available from manufacturer at time of publication.
- One-Touch Down Feature Operation Test - Ensure standard power windows operate properly. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Press driver power window down switch for less than 1/2 second. If driver window does not move all the way down, go to next step. If driver window moves all the way down, go to step 4).
- Check Window Power Input To Driver Door Module (DDM) - Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, access DDM PID IGN_DD. If DDM PID IGN_DD indicates ACCSSY, go to next step. If DDM PID IGN_DD does not indicate ACCSSY, repair open in Yellow/Light Green wire and retest system operation.
- Window Operation Test - Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Actuate window up and down several times while observing motion of window. If window moves smoothly without jerking or sticking, replace driver door module and retest system operation. If window does not move smoothly without jerking or sticking, service regulator mechanism for sticking and binding. Retest system operation.
- Cancel With Up Switch Test - Actuate window up. Press driver door master window down switch for less than 1/2 second. While window is in motion, press driver door master window switch to UP position. If window stops, system is operating properly at this time. If window does not stop, go to next step.
- Power Window Input To Driver Door Module (DDM) - Using NGS tester, access DDM PID D_PW_SW. While pressing driver door master window switch to UP position, monitor DDM PID D_PW_SW. If DDM PID D_PW_SW indicates UP, replace driver door module and retest system operation. If DDM PID D_PW_SW does not indicate UP, repair Tan/Black wire and retest system operation.
