Trouble Shooting

Check the following items before proceeding with testing;

Check battery for state of charge.
Check cable connections at battery and starter motor.
Ensure transmission is fully engaged in Park or Neutral position.
Check fuse No. 5 (50-amp) in power distribution box in engine compartment.
Check fuse No. 24 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
On models equipped anti-theft system, ensure anti-theft system is operating properly (horn sounds, lights flash, etc.) See ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM - ACTIVE article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for additional information.
