Test L: Liftgate Does Not Operate At Release Switch
- If vehicle is a coupe, perform TEST J: TRUNK DOES NOT UNLOCK FROM REMOTE TRANSMITTER . If vehicle is a wagon, go to next step.
- Lock all doors from interior door lock switches. If all door locks except liftgate operate properly, go to next step. If any door locks other than liftgate do not operate properly, perform TEST D: LOCKS INOPERATIVE FROM REMOTE TRANSMITTER .
- Disconnect liftgate lock actuator harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and Pink/Orange wire at liftgate lock actuator harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step 6).
- Remove liftgate release relay. Test liftgate release relay. See RELAYS under COMPONENT TESTING. If relay is okay, go to next step. If relay is defective, replay liftgate release relay.
- Measure resistance in Pink/Orange wire between liftgate lock actuator harness connector and terminal No. 30 at liftgate release relay harness connector. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Orange wire between liftgate relay connector terminal No. 87 and door unlock relay connector terminal No. 30. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Pink/Orange wire between liftgate relay harness connector and liftgate lock actuator harness connector.
- Measure resistance between ground and Pink/Black wire at liftgate lock actuator harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace liftgate lock actuator. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Pink/Black wire.
