Remote Keyless Entry Systems: Programming: Transmitter
NOTE:
A maximum of 4 transmitters can be programmed for each Remote Anti-Theft Personality (RAP) module. Programming must be done at same time for all transmitters.
- Verify battery is fully charged and anti-theft system is not armed or triggered (if equipped). Turn ignition switch to OFF and ON positions 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in ON position, or turn ignition switch from OFF to START position 4 times within 10 seconds, ending in ON position. If programming mode is successfully entered, RAP module will lock and unlock all doors (On vehicles sold in Mexico, anti-theft systems will chirp horn).
- Press any button on transmitter. Door locks will lock and unlock to acknowledge successful programming (On vehicles sold in Mexico, anti-theft systems will chirp horn). Repeat this step to program additional transmitters. When finished programming all transmitters, turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
