Charging System - Generator: Description

System consists of a 130-amp generator, voltage regulator, battery, charge warning indicator and related fuses and wiring. Charge warning indicator illuminates with ignition on, engine off as a bulb-check. Voltage regulator is mounted to rear of generator on 3.0L 2-valve models (including Flex Fuel Vehicles). Voltage regulator is mounted internally on all 3.0L 4-valve and 3.4L SHO models. Internal regulators cannot be serviced separately.
