Valve Cover - RH: Installation

- Apply sealant in the location shown.
- Install a new valve cover gasket and the valve cover. Tighten the 7 studs and 3 bolts in the sequence shown to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Raise the engine.
- Position wire harness and connect the 3 wire harness retainers to the valve cover.
- Connect the 4 RH ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Connect the PCV tube quick connect coupling to the PCV valve. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Connect the A/C accumulator switch electrical connector.
- Connect the 3 electronic engine control electrical connectors.
- Connect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Connect the PCV valve electrical connector.
- Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
- Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
- Install the EVAP canister purge valve. For additional information, refer to EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS .
- Install the LH engine mount. For additional information, refer to ENGINE MOUNT - LH .
- Connect the fuel tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
NOTE:
If not secured within 4 minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness, or 4 minutes, whichever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.
