Accelerator Pedal and Bracket: Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. Install the accelerator pedal and bracket assembly.
  2. Install the 3 accelerator pedal and bracket retainer nuts. Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

    3. Vehicles with adjustable accelerator pedal and bracket 

  3. Connect the accelerator pedal motor drive cable connector.

    4. All vehicles 

    NOTE: On vehicles with a fixed pedal and bracket assemblies, the service unit may differ from the original unit. The non-working accelerator pedal motor electrical connector may be plugged into either of these locations shown depending on the length of the harness.

  4. Connect the accelerator pedal motor electrical connector.
  5. Connect the accelerator pedal sensor electrical connector.
  6. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .

    7. Vehicles with adjustable accelerator pedal and bracket 

  7. Index the adjustable accelerator pedal and bracket assemblies. For additional information, refer to HYDRAULIC BRAKE ACTUATION .
