Camshaft Runout

SPECIAL TOOL(S)
| Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture 100-002 (TOOL-4201-C) or equivalent |
- Use a Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture to measure the camshaft runout.
- Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest indicator reading from the highest indicator reading.
- For additional information, refer to the specification chart in the appropriate engine article.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure.
NOTE:
Camshaft journals must be within specifications before checking runout.
