System Tests: Notes

CAUTION:
Disconnect battery before disconnecting Generic Electronic Module (GEM) harness connectors. Failure to do so will result in GEM storing erroneous codes and may also result in erratic operation of GEM after reconnecting.
NOTE:
If continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are recorded and symptom is not present during pinpoint testing, problem may be intermittent. Always check for loose connections and corroded terminals.
NOTE:
Complete entire pinpoint test related to symptom before replacing Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
