Removal and Installation

    CAUTION: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the appropriate diagnostic equipment. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
    CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the driver seat. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
  3. Drill out the 2 rivets.
  4. Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors and remove the DSM.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the DSM configuration from the diagnostic tool into the new DSM. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
