Speed Control Cable: Removal

  1. Remove accelerator control splash shield screws. Remove accelerator splash shield. Open throttle valve. Slide accelerator cable from ball connector on accelerator cam. Squeeze accelerator cable plastic retaining tabs and remove accelerator cable from bracket.
  2. Push in locking tabs on speed actuator cable cap. Rotate cap counterclockwise and remove from speed control servo. Depress spring retainer on speed control actuator cable. Slide cable end out of speed control servo pulley and remove cable from retainer clips. See Figure.
