Heater Core Backflushing

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

Item Specification
Motorcraft Cooling System Flush VC-1 or equivalent ESR-M14P7-A
    WARNING: Do not open the cooling system while it is hot or while the engine is running.
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L  or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
  2. NOTE: Refer to the cooling system flusher manufacturer's operating instructions for particular vehicle hook-up.
  3. Use an appropriate cooling system flusher to back flush the heater core. Use premium cooling system flush.
  4. Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L  or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
