Heater Core Backflushing

- Partially drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
- Use an appropriate cooling system flusher to back flush the heater core. Use premium cooling system flush.
- Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 3.0L AND 4.0L .
WARNING:
Do not open the cooling system while it is hot or while the engine is running.
