Principles of Operation

NOTE: Upon installation of a new smart junction box (SJB), the module must be reconfigured. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION prior to SJB removal.

The SJB receives inputs and delivers outputs to a majority of the electronically-controlled features of the vehicle. The SJB constantly monitors the systems under its control and reports a concern in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). The DTC can be retrieved with a diagnostic tool through the ISO 9141 communication network. The SJB receives power input from the battery junction box (BJB), and controls the following features:
