Checking Fluid Level: Escort
Ensure vehicle is level. Remove Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) from transaxle. Wipe fluid from driven gear and housing. Remove "O" ring from housing. Insert VSS into transaxle. Remove VSS and check fluid level as indicated on VSS driven gear. See Fig 1. Add fluid through VSS hole as necessary. See RECOMMENDED FLUID . Install "O" ring, replace if necessary. Install VSS in transaxle and tighten bolt to 70-99 INCH lbs. (8-11 N.m).
