Valve Springs: Removal

- Remove the camshafts. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFTS .
- Take out valve tappets and place to one side in sequence.
- Unscrew the spark plug from the first cylinder and attach the special tool.
- Attach the special tools and apply compressed air to the cylinder.
- Compress the valve spring.
- Take out the valve collets.
- Take out the valve spring retainer and the valve spring.
WARNING:
Always wear protective goggles when working with compressed air. Failure to do so may lead to injury.
CAUTION:
Air pressure is between seven and ten bar.
