Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

EGO Sensor Wrench:

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.







2. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.







3. Using the special tool, remove the HO2S.

NOTE: If removing the HO2S on a 6.8L engine, raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
