Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.







4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.







5. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.

NOTE: The crankshaft pulley is removed for clarity.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
