Brake Light Switch
- Brake light switch is wired to brakelight circuit and PCM. It is located above brake pedal and signals PCM when the brake pedal is applied.
- Switch input is used primarily for torque converter clutch lock/unlock strategy, cruise (speed) control and auxiliary idle control (if equipped).
- If all brake lights burn out, a pull up resistor in PCM provides high voltage at PCM for fail-safe operation.
Brake Pedal Position (BPP) Switch is located on the Brake Pedal Assembly.
