  • INSTALL a new speed control actuator. REFER to Speed Control Actuator . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The speed control drops out when pressing buttons

  • Normal condition
  • ADVISE the customer that when 2 buttons are pressed simultaneously, the speed control system enters a stand-by mode. Pressing RESUME returns the vehicle to the memory speed.
  • The speed control is hard to set
  • ON switch and SET + switch operation
  • ADVISE the customer that the ON switch must be pressed and released before the SET + switch is pressed.
  • The vehicle does not slow down after deactivating the speed control
  • Base engine operation
  • CHECK for service bulletins related to engine calibration and REPAIR if required.
  • The speed control system does not control the vehicle speed when deactivated. ADVISE the customer the brakes must be applied to slow the vehicle.
  • The speed control is inoperative when towing a trailer
  • Aftermarket trailer tow wiring harness
  • ADVISE the customer that the factory trailer tow wiring harness must be used.
  • The speed control indicator lamp is never/always on
