Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the upper luggage compartment trim panel.
- Remove the package tray. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Disconnect the 3 navigation system module electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 nuts and the navigation system module and bracket assembly.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Remove the 4 bolts and the navigation system module.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
NOTE:
Prior to removal of the navigation system module, it is necessary to remove the digital versatile disc (DVD) from the navigation system module and store it in the customer case.
