Remote Transmitter

NOTE: Once programming mode has been entered and transmitter button is pressed for the first time, all previously stored transmitter codes will be erased. All transmitters to be used with this system must be programmed at the same time (maximum of 4 transmitters). Ensure battery is fully charged and anti-theft is not armed or triggered (if equipped) before proceeding with programming procedures.
  1. Close all doors and fasten safety belts to ensure conflicting chimes do sound while programming remotes.
  2. Insert key into ignition. Turn ignition from OFF to ON at least 4 times in 6 seconds, ending with key in OFF position. The GEM is now in a learning mode.
  3. Press and hold any button on remote transmitter until a chime sounds. The chime indicates a successful programming. After a successful programming, the module enters another learning mode in which additional remotes may be programmed until maximum number of remotes is reached.
  4. To program additional remotes, repeat step 3 after each chime. Test all programmed remotes by locking and unlocking doors using remotes.
