Ignition Switch: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds. Remove instrument panel steering column cover and reinforcement. See Figure . Disconnect ignition switch electrical connector. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position. Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Remove ignition switch.
