Test G: Rear Power Window Inoperative (Convertible)

  1. If left rear window is in operative, go to next step. If right rear window is inoperative, go to step  7 .
  2. Disconnect left rear window motor harness connector C322. Measure resistance between ground and Yellow/Light Blue wire terminal at left rear window motor harness connector C322. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step  4 .
  3. Disconnect master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance in Yellow/Light Blue wire between left rear window motor harness connector C322 at terminal No. 12 at master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace master window/door lock switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow/Light Blue wire.
  4. Measure resistance between ground and Gray/Orange wire terminal at left rear window motor harness connector C322. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step  6 .
  5. Disconnect master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance in Gray/Orange wire between left rear window motor harness connector C322 at terminal No. 10 at master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace master window/door lock switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Gray/Orange wire.
  6. Test master window/door lock switch. See MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, replace left rear window motor. If switch is defective, replace master window/door lock switch.
  7. Disconnect right rear window motor harness connector C321. Measure resistance between ground and Yellow/Black wire terminal at right rear window motor harness connector C321. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step  9 .
  8. Disconnect master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance in Yellow/Black wire between right rear window motor harness connector C321 at terminal No. 13 at master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace master window/door lock switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow/Black wire.
  9. Measure resistance between ground and Red/Black wire terminal at right rear window motor harness connector C321. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step  11 .
  10. Disconnect master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance in Red/Black wire between right rear window motor harness connector C321 at terminal No. 11 at master window/door lock switch harness connector C505. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace master window/door lock switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Black wire.
  11. Test master window/door lock switch. See MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, replace right rear window motor. If switch is defective, replace master window/door lock switch.
