Abs Warning Indicator Does Not Self-Test

Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module 30-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Depress and release shorting bar connector internal to ABS control module harness side. If ABS indicator illuminates with shorting bar released and goes off with shorting bar depressed, replace ABS control module. Retest system. If indicator does operate as described, problem is in instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
