Activating System
- Ensure both battery cables are disconnected. Wait one minute. Remove air bag simulators from driver's side air bag and passenger's side air bag wiring harness connector.
- Reconnect driver's side air bag electrical connector to air bag module. Install driver's side air bag module on steering wheel. Tighten nut and washer assemblies to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Reconnect passenger's side air bag electrical connector to air bag module. Install passenger's side air bag module. Connect positive battery cable. Connect negative battery cable. Check AIR BAG light for system faults.
