Remote Transmitter
NOTE:
When programing remote transmitters, all transmitters MUST BE programmed at the same time. Failure to program all transmitters at the same time will render all other transmitters inoperative.
- Using keyless entry keypad, enter factory code. Within 5 seconds, press and release 1/2 button to activate programming mode. Holding 1/2 button will erase all stored customer codes. Press and hold any button on remote transmitter. Door should lock and unlock to confirm programming. Any additional transmitters must be programmed within 7.5 seconds of last transmitter.
- Generic Electronic Module (GEM) will automatically associate first transmitter to personality setting No. 1 and second transmitter programmed to personality setting No. 2. Any transmitter programmed after first 2 will not be associated with any personality setting.
- After all transmitters have been programmed, a new keyless entry keypad con can be programmed within 7.5 seconds of last transmitter. To exit program mode, press keyless entry keypad buttons 7/8 and 9/0 simultaneously or wait 7.5 seconds and GEM will exit program mode automatically. If system will not program, perform TEST D: LOCKS INOPERATIVE FROM REMOTE TRANSMITTER under SYSTEM TESTS.
