Test B: No Communication With Rear Electronic Module (Rem)

NOTE: Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON position to enable system power feature.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove fuse No. 16 (10-amp) from Fuse Junction Box (FJB). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between fuse No. 16 input terminal and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, install fuse and go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair FJB power supply circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect REM harness connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between REM harness connector C343 terminal No. 3 (White/Yellow wire) and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair power supply circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Measure resistances between REM harness connector C341 terminal No. 12 (Black wire), REM harness connector C342 terminals No. 11, 12, 25 and 26 (Black wires) and ground. If all resistances are less than 5 ohms, repair module communications concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - WINDSTAR article. If any resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in appropriate Black wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
