Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Remove HCU dust shield. Disconnect ABCM electrical connector by sliding lock rearward.
  2. Remove 3 HCU bracket-to-frame bolts. Lift bracket hooks from frame and lower HCU to access ABCM. Remove ABCM bolts and remove unit.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure, cleaning top of HCU before installing new module. Download information from NGS scan tester. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
