Intake Manifold: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE & FUEL LINE CONNECTIONS . Remove air cleaner outlet tube. Disconnect TPS wiring. Raise and support vehicle. Drain cooling system. Remove cooling line bracket bolt. Lower vehicle. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core.
- Disconnect engine control sensor wiring and remove connectors from mounting bracket. Mark and remove vacuum hoses and wire harness connectors as necessary. Remove drive belt. Remove generator mounting bolts, and position generator aside. Disconnect fuel line. Remove retaining bolts, nuts and studs from intake manifold in sequence. See Fig 1. Remove intake manifold and gasket.
