All Others

  1. Place range selector lever in "N" position. Remove shift control lever. Loosen Transmission Range (TR) sensor retaining bolts. Install appropriate TR sensor adjustor. On 4F20E, use Range Sensor Adjustor (307-250). See Fig 1. On 4F27E, use Range Sensor Adjustor (307-415). See Fig 2. On all others, use Range Sensor Adjustor (307-351). See Fig 3. Tighten TR sensor retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install shift control lever, and tighten nut.
  2. Check for park gear engagement. Start engine and ensure indicated gear positions match transmission response. If operation is not okay, check shift cable adjustment. See SHIFT CABLE . Verify vehicle only starts in Park and Neutral, and back-up lights operate.
