Test A: Both Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Check MIRROR fuse (5-amp) on sedan and wagon or RADIO fuse (5-amp) on coupe, located in Central Junction Box (CJB). If fuse is good, go to next step. If fuse is blown, repair short to ground in Blue/Black wire between CJB and mirror control switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Ensure fuse is installed. Disconnect mirror control switch 8-pin harness connector C218. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and mirror control switch harness connector C218 terminal No. 1 (Blue/Black wire). See Fig 1 . If more than 10 volts exists, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exists, repair open in Blue/Black wire between CJB and mirror control switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and mirror control switch harness connector C218 terminal No. 5 (Black wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace mirror control switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open or high resistance in Black wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
