The headlamps on reminder chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster Smart junction box (SJB)	GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
All the chimes are inoperative	Instrument cluster	INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
The turn signal left on warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
The door ajar warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster Smart junction box (SJB)	CHECK the operation of the interior lamps. If the interior lamps operate correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the interior lamps do not operate correctly, REFER to INTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the interior lamps.
The safety belt warning chime does not operate correctly	Circuitry Instrument cluster Restraints control module (RCM)	GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
The air bag warning chime is inoperative	Circuitry Instrument cluster Restraints control module (RCM)	CHECK the operation of the safety belt warning indicator and the air bag warning indicator. If both operate correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the safety belt warning indicator is inoperative, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to continue diagnosis of the safety belt warning indicator. If the air bag warning indicator is inoperative, REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM to continue diagnosis of the restraint system.
The message center warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	CHECK the operation of the message center switches. If the message center switches operate correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the message center switches do not operate correctly, REFER to INFORMATION AND MESSAGE CENTER to continue diagnosis of the message center switches.
The message center switch depression tone chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	CHECK the operation of the message center switches. If the message center switches operate correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the message center switches do not operate correctly, REFER to INFORMATION AND MESSAGE CENTER to continue diagnosis of the message center switches.
The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and headlamps OFF)	Circuitry Key-in-ignition warning switch Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST F .
The belt minder feature does not operate correctly	Belt minder deactivated	ACTIVATE the belt minder feature. REFER to SAFETY BELT MINDER DEACTIVATING/ACTIVATING in this article.
The belt minder feature does not operate correctly	Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST G .
The transmission not in PARK warning chime does not operate correctly	Circuitry Brake shift interlock Ignition switch Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST H .
The parking brake warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	CHECK the operation of the brake warning indicator. If the brake warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If the brake warning indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to continue diagnosis of the brake warning indicator.
The engine off reminder chime is inoperative (Escape Hybrid)	Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST I .
