Actuator-Speed Control Servo: Installation

  1. Insert the speed control cable slug into the speed control servo pulley slot.
    1. Gently push the retaining spring.
    2. Insert the speed control cable slug completely into the speed control servo pulley slot.

  2. NOTE: Make sure the rubber seal is correctly seated onto the speed control actuator cable cap.
    NOTE: Incorrect wrapping of the speed control actuator cable core wire around the speed control servo pulley may result in a high idle condition.

  3. Align the speed control actuator cable cap tabs with the slots in the speed control servo housing and seat the speed control cable cap.
  4. Rotate the speed control actuator cable cap clockwise until the locking tab engages.

  5. Install the speed control servo bracket screws.

  6. Connect the speed control servo electrical connector.

  7. Install the engine air cleaner assembly.
  8. Connect the speed control actuator cable end to the throttle nailhead.

  9. Connect the battery ground cable.
