Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the RKE module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into a new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the utility compartment.
1. Remove the four pin-type retainers.
2. Remove the utility compartment.
  - If equipped, disconnect the power point electrical connector.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the nuts and the remote keyless entry module.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
