Driver Or Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Monterey and 2004 Ford Freestar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The driver or passenger climate controlled seat module is on the UBP communications network. The climate controlled seat modules communicate with the DATC module to control the heating and cooling elements in the seat for driver/passenger comfort. The UBP communication network will not function if the wire is shorted to ground or battery voltage. Check the network circuit between the climate controlled seat module C3031a (driver), C3036a (passenger), and the DLC C251. Total resistance value must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is an open circuit in the UBP network, damage to the DLC C251, damage to the climate controlled seat module connector, or a problem in the in-line connector. For additional driver climate control seat module information, refer to SEATING . For additional passenger climate control seat module information, refer to SEATING .
