Keyless Entry Keypad - Excursion

NOTE: Press middle of button to ensure good activation of keypad digits.

Keyless entry keypad is programmed with a 5-digit factory code. This code is located on Owner's Wallet Card located in glove box. To program personal code into keypad and Generic Electronic Module (GEM), perform the following steps:

  1. Enter 5-digit factory code (keypad will illuminate when pressed). Within 5 seconds of entering factory code, press the 1/2 button on keypad to activate programming mode. Enter personal 5-digit code by entering each digit within 5 seconds of each other.
  2. Keypad will now operate with either factory code or personal code. Factory code is NEVER erased from GEM memory and cannot be replaced. If second personal code is entered, system will replace original personal code.
  3. To erase personal code, enter 5-digit factory code (keypad will illuminate when pressed). Within 5 seconds of entering factory code, press and release the 1/2 button on keypad. Within 5 seconds of pressing the 1/2 button, press and hold the 1/2 button for two seconds. Personal code is now erased. Only 5-digit factory code will be recognized.
