Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter: Excursion

To program (or reprogram) RKE transmitters into Generic Electronic Module (GEM), perform the following steps:

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF, then to RUN positions 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN position. If GEM has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and unlock all doors.
2. Press any button on remote keyless entry transmitter, and doors will lock, and unlock to confirm remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat procedure with additional remote transmitters.
3. If door locks do not respond for any remote keyless entry transmitter, wait for several seconds, press button again.
4. Turn ignition off, or wait 5 minutes after step  1 , to exit program mode. If a remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the GEM will lock and unlock all doors one last time.
