Test F: Left Rear Power Window Inoperative

NOTE: After all repairs, clear DTCs and recheck system operation. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  for circuit identification and repair.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect left rear window switch 7-pin harness connector C702. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure window lock-out switch on master window/door lock switch is in UNLOCK position. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 4 (Red/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If more than 10 volts exist, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exist, go to step  3 .
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between ground and left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 1 (Gray/Orange wire). Measure resistance between ground and left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Light Blue wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms in both measurements, go to step  6 . If resistance is 5 ohms or more in either measurement, go to step  4 .
  3. Disconnect master window/door lock switch 20-pin harness connector C501. Measure resistance between master window/door lock switch terminals No. 19 and 20 (component side). See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace master window/door lock switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair open or high resistance in Red/Light Blue wire.
  4. Disconnect master window/door lock switch 20-pin harness connector C501. Measure resistance of Yellow/Light Blue wire between master window/door lock switch harness connector C501 terminal No. 17 and left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 6. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Yellow/Light Blue wire.
  5. Measure resistance of Gray/Orange wire between master window/door lock switch harness connector C501 terminal No. 15 and left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace master window/door lock switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Gray/Orange wire.
  6. Connect jumper wire between left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminals No. 1 (Gray/Orange wire) and No. 5 (Yellow/Black wire). See Figure . Connect second jumper wire between left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Light Blue wire) and No. 4 (Red/Light Blue wire). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If left rear window does not operate in downward direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step. If left rear window operates in downward direction, but did not operate with left rear window switch, replace left rear window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If left rear window operates in downward direction and operates with left rear window switch, but did not operate with master window/door lock switch, replace master window/door lock switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  7. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect jumper wire between left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminals No. 2 (Yellow/Light Blue wire) and No. 6 (Yellow/Light Blue wire). See Figure . Connect second jumper wire between left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminals No. 4 (Red/Light Blue wire) and No. 5 (Yellow/Black wire). If window does not operate in upward direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step. If window operates in upward direction, but did not operate from left rear window switch, replace left rear window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If window operates in upward direction and operates from left rear window switch, but did not operate from master window/door lock switch, replace master window/door lock switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  8. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect left rear window motor 2-pin harness connector C701. Measure resistance of Yellow/Black wire between left rear switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 5 and window motor harness connector C701. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Yellow/Black wire.
  9. Measure resistance of Yellow/Light Blue wire between left rear window switch harness connector C702 terminal No. 2 and window motor harness connector C701. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Yellow/Light Blue wire.
