Output State Control Modes: Notes

Output State Control (OSC) modes allows a technician to control certain parameters within transaxle. OSC has 2 modes of operation for transaxle: BENCH MODE and DRIVE MODE. To operate OSC modes, TR sensor and VSS must be operational, and no DTCs related to TR sensor or VSS can be present. Each mode has a unique set of requirements that must be met before being allowed to operate a particular mode.

If vehicle requirements are not met when sending an OSC value, an ERROR MESSAGE will appear. OSC is then cancelled and must be restarted. If after sending an OSC value, the vehicle requirements are no longer met, PCM will cancel OSC value and a NO ERROR message will appear. Once vehicle requirements are met again, PCM will automatically send previous OSC value.
