Disabling Unlimited Key Mode

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) tester or New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Fig 1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using WDS or NGS perform security access procedure. See SECURITY ACCESS PROCEDURE .
  2. After security access procedure is been performed, select DISABLE UNLIMITED KEY MODE and than select IGNITION KEY CODE ERASE. Turn ignition key to LOCK position and disconnect WDS or NGS tester.
  3. Program 2 ignition keys to enable vehicle. To program any additional keys. See either KEY PROGRAMMING - USING 2 PROGRAMMED KEYS  or KEY PROGRAMMING - USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT  .
