Disable Unlimited Key Mode

  1. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester. Select Powertrain Control Module (PCM) from menu. Select SECURITY ACCESS. See SECURITY ACCESS PROCEDURE  . Select DISABLE UNLIMITED KEY MODE. Select IGNITION KEY CODE ERASE.
  2. Disconnect NGS tester and turn ignition switch to OFF position. Program 2 keys to enable vehicle. See ERASE ALL KEY CODES - PROGRAM 2 KEYS  , beginning at step 2  . Program any additional keys. See PROGRAMMING SPARE KEY(S) WITH 2 PROGRAMMED KEYS  .
