Test N: No Module/Network Communication - No Power To NGS Tester

  1. Inspect NGS tester terminals for damage. If terminals are okay, go to next step. If terminals are not okay repair as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Inspect Data Link Connector (DLC) terminals for damage. If terminals are okay, go to next step. If terminals are not okay, repair as necessary.
  3. Measure voltage between DLC terminal No. 16 (Light Blue/White wire) and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Light Blue/White wire between DLC and Fuse Junction Box (FJB).
  4. Measure resistance between DLC terminal No. 4 (Black wire) and ground. Measure resistance between DLC terminal No. 5 (Black/White wire) and ground. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, check NGS tester. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire and/or Black/White wire.
