Pinpoint Test A: No Communication With The Traction Control Module

Test Step

A1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE TRACTION CONTROL MODULE

Key in OFF position.
Disconnect: Traction Control Module C135.
Key in ON position.
Measure the voltage between the traction control module C135 pin 4, circuit 15-CF6A (GN/YE), harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

Result / Action to Take

Yes

Go to A2.

REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.

Test Step

A2 CHECK THE TRACTION CONTROL MODULE GROUNDS

Key in OFF position.
Measure the resistance between the traction control module C135 pin 16, circuit 91-CF6 (BK/YE), harness side and ground; and between the traction control module C135 pin 47, circuit 91-CF13 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.

Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?

Result / Action to Take

Yes

REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
